100% agree! When I’m putting laundry away I hear Diane’s voice and I always end up grabbing something out of a drawer or in my closet that I’m just not wearing 😊

Summer has finally hit the south of Germany and immediately the last warm sweaters and jackets made it through the wash and into their summer home in the basement.
Out came the light dresses! Yay!!!! Not so much decluttering today. More ironing and getting ready all the summer garments.

It's been HOT here, in the high 90s. I'm decluttering material, actually finished a few projects that I'm gifting to friends and family, but it sure cleared some space in my spare bedroom.
Still try to follow your one item per day decluttering method and loving it! My husband even decluttered some of his things without me asking!

Got two dresses on probation this week. One might be letting go. I love probabtion! Giving it a little extra time to try on, wear and decide. I recently added hooks in my closet to hang these "probation" items in full view so they get decided on. Thanks for this wonderful idea Diane!

As I have decluttered most of my clothes I am focusing on the basement. So far I have decluttered a pre-lit Christmas tree, a mat for the entrance way, 3 pkgs. Of Christmas ornaments which I will give to my daughter-in-law, 10 cookbooks, an exercise ball that wes losing air. Also, a set of sheets and pillowcases, a pj top. I would like to declutter my whole closet but that would leave me with nothing to wear and where I live shopping is limited unless you are a young adult, the selection for an older person is limited especially if you are petite. . Finally some nice sunny warm weather so I washed all the bedclothes and hung them outside, a nice breezy day for drying clothes. Rah, Rah.

I've put off decluttering my summer clothes this spring because I have several boxes of summer clothes that I just don't like. Is that a reason to keep so many tops and shorts and yes, scarves? Yes, I hated my clothes all through high school, but I kept them anyway. So. after watching todays show, I'm going to take my time, fix a cold tea, and declutter my summer clothes. Thanks Diane!!

You’ve done a good job decluttering your scarfs. I’m really exited to hear those you have on probation. Over here (Netherlands) it’s also pouring rain. I’m so looking forward to summer. My oldest (7 yo) asked last week when he’s able to wear his shorts again. I think he tried to tell he’s sick of the weather as well. I will have a (back) surgery within 2 weeks and i really wanted to finish to declutter the closed on the hall on the first floor. So because zone 4 is looking well i’m going to try to declutter the last 2 shelves before then

Hiya Diane - this week i have decluttered one jacket and two nail varnishes! Last time it eas bedroom week, my granddaughter (8years old) was staying over and she helped me declutter 4 nail varnishes by yesting then on her fingernails - she had a different coloir on each finger! We threw out the ones that had gone 'sticky'. Thank you for todays inspiration re scarves - methinks a short trip upstairs to review the scarf situation is in order.

I'm letting go of a skirt and a scarf. Decluttering in small amounts is an easy way to cull my wardrobe.

I’m going to go through my scarves too. I have way too many that I never use. I’m going to put them in a tub like yours too. I’ve always struggled with how to store them.
Probation has helped me so much! It’s a great suggestion for people like myself who forget why we don’t wear things. I have tried on pieces that I thought I loved but if it’s too tight or itchy it’s always a no. It’s better to pass it on to people who will actually wear it😊

Can't imagine having so many clothes. I have about 4 of each genre, tops, pants, shorts, and 2 dresses. Fastinates me to see other peoples closets. I don't like to shop so I keep it simple without meaning to.

We are under a heat advisory here in the Midwest of the US, it is hot hot hot today and it's going to continue at least through Friday. I need a wardrobe refresh but haven't taken the time to go shopping so I don't have clothes to declutter, but I went through my makeup and found 4 things that I am not using that can go. I had my colours done many years ago and I'm a Spring season. Now that I've embraced my grey hair I may need to check if to see if it still works, most of the time I think it does. 🤔

Although in her defense, I think she keeps all the seasonal clothing in her closet (most RUclipsrs I watch only keep one season and store the rest) and Denmark definitely has seasonal extremes.
